I have Windows XP and MS Office Pro 2003. Will FP2002 not work with this
system? I'm having difficulty running it and I don't find anywhere in the
paperwork or online that tells if it will or not. If not, is there a patch
or something I can use, or do I just have to purchase FP2003? Thanks. Marcia

What difficulty?

If you're running XP Home and you were used to running 2002 with PWS then yes, you will have a slight problem because Home doesn't support a server. You'll have to work with disk-based webs instead.. which is not so bad.

Marcia,
Your problems probably stem from mixing the versions of Office
programs. FrontPage shares files with the rest of the Office suite. That
means, if Office 2003 is installed after FP 2002 and you don't tell Office
2003 not to install any shared components, it will and those will over-write
the ones used by FrontPage 2002. You can get this configuration to work, but
the install must be done carefully in order to avoid this situation. You may
try uninstalling both Office 2003 and FP 2002. Then installing FP 2002 but
don't install any of the shared functionality. Then install Office 2003 with
whatever shared features you want. Usually it's best to have the shared
files for the bigger program installed, such as the ones used by the Office
suite package.

Hope this helps,

Yes FP2002 will work in Windows XP. What is the specific problem you're
having?
