Upgrade Error: Kernel File Is Missing From The Disk

R

Robert Strock

I just tried upgrading an NT4SP6a member server to Windows
2000 Server. After the first reboot, right after the OS
selections screen (which defaults to Windows 2000 Server
Installation), the following error is displayed:

A kernel file is missing from the disk. Insert a system
disk and restart the system.

Other member servers I've upgraded have had no problems
whatsoever. Does anybody what's the cause of this error
and how to correct for it?

Thanks very much.

Robert
