upgrade cpu and windows xp

Hello to everyone. I would like to ask a quick question. I am thinking of
upgrading my cpu and I know that if I change my motherboard the system
(windows xp) will have to be installed from the beginning. If I change only
my cpu and the motherboard stays the same will it work so I don't have to
reinstall windows from the start and all my programms as well? Thanks in
advance.

Upgrading a CPU is simple and does not require
reinstalling Windows XP. Just make sure your
motherboard supports the new CPU.
