Upgrade Access 2000 to 2003

No. A2003 will not be faster than A2000, but it will probably be more stable
during development.

Do you think that it will increase performance if I upgrade my access 2000
database to 2003? Or is the database and connectivity pretty much the same.

I did some further testing and found that once a client has accessed a
datareport (created in Visual Basic) , the slowness begins. The ldb file
for the mdb does not go away until the executable is terminated. I am using
a data environment to access my reports. When I access the database using
ADO, the ldb file appears and disappears as expected.

It has something to do with data reports, data environment and the ldb file.

I would really appreciate any feedback or help toward this end.

This is an external report, created with VB (not VBA). Not sure I can help.
Perhaps someone else can, or perhaps someone in the VB newsgroups may have
struck this.
