Upgrade 98 to XP

We have 2 linked machines, one running XP (Home SP2) the other, older
machine, running 98. I want to upgrade the older machine to XP and,
sometime in the future but not now, the newer machine to Vista (maybe!). Is
there any way I can install the XP I have on the old machine (legit or semi
legit!) while still retaining the ability to use the installation disk on
the newer machine (for maintenance, emergency re-install etc).

Thank you.

Nope

One copy of XP per machine

Note: If the machine is old enough to have come with win98...
it would probably not be a good candidate for XP anyway
