Upgarde mouse problems

I've just upgraded from Millenium to XP and installed usb broadband. The
problem is that approx 50-75% of the time I Start my PC the mouse and
keyboard (both on USB) aren't recognised so I have to manually shut down and
start again. It doesn't seem to matter if broadband is connected, and when
the mouse and keyboard are found everything works fine.

Any Ideas? Will connecting the mouse & keyboard through convertors to the
ps2 ports solve the problem?

Try to upgrade the USB drivers of both your motherboard and 'usb broadband'
device. Upgrade the BIOS if possible. Run 'sfc /scannow'. Ask the 'usb
broadband' device manufacturer - either call/shoot an email to techsupport
or check website FAQ section.
