Updating of one file and prograte to others files

Hi,

Let's said that i have additional task(text) to be
inserted into the cell of the existing file(with other
standard task to be carried out), how do I auto update to
other files with the input of the new task(text) as
mentioned above? Currently, I am doing itmanually to 15
other files for the insertion of the text.

use a stardard formula like =sum or =count but add the
full file path. i use this one.
=SUM('S:\PUBLIC\WOM\FY03\[Jan.xls]MPX'!$AH$4:$AH$500)
note file name in brackets. note single quotes
