Our company creates electronic training manuals for our employees on
powerpoint. There is a main manual for each job roll and under that we break
out different tracks from the main manual into seperate powerpoints for
easier loading on the web. Is there any way that we can link these different
powerpoints so that when we need to make updates we can just make them onto
the main manuals an do not have to seperately make them on each of the
subtracks?? It would save us an enormous amount of time.

How extensive are the updates and are they things like numbers, in predictable
places or whole wads of text?

It is often quite a bit of text.

OK, that lets out simple links from Excel cells.

You might want to have a look at our PPT Merge add-in (http://merge.pptools.com)
One of its odd little features is the ability to merge the contents of a text file
into a PPT text shape. That might be useful to you; in any case, the demo is fully
functional, so you can give it a shot.

If you decide to do that, please feel free to follow up with detailed questions at
