My company has recently upgraded to Access 2000 and I realize I won't be
able to make changes to the live database anymore unless Access can
successfully lock the database.
I'm sold on splitting my databases...keeping the data in the backend mdb and
the forms, reports, queries etc in the application mde.
One question...I want all of the users to have local front end application
mdes. I have several users and at times there are several updates to reports
and forms. Is there an easy way to update all of the desktops with the most
recent copy of the mde? Also is there a way to make sure the users have the
most recent copy before they open the application?
Thanks for the help!
