In Windows Explorer, I go to a folder, right click, go to properties... I see that it is read only. I click on the read only choice (to make it not read only) and hit apply. A window pops up and asks me if I want to undo the read-only property of the folder. I click on yes. A window appears telling me that the attributes of the folder are being updated... once it is done, I look at the read only button, it is not checked off (good). I close the properties, reopen it immediately... the read only box is checked off again. Windows XP completely ignored me after pretending to change the folder attribute. What's going on?

Hi
Check if your account has enough permissions on the folder and all files inside it!
