I have never updated my BIOS before, and from the hardware issues I am
currently having, it was decided that it needed to happen. But, I have heard
of the horror stories of flashing BIOS incorrectly resulting in an unoperable
system.

Any advice before I try? I have an Intel D850GB board.

Thank you very much!

I've never flashed a motherboard's BIOS without having the PC connected to a
UPS. If the power were to get cut off during a BIOS flash, your board would
be inoperable in most cases.

excellent advice!

Thank you both very much! I have a UPS and it went well!

Unfortunately, flashing the BIOS didn't resolve my issue. I will post it in
a new thread, I would love to hear your advice.

Thanks again!
