When I try to do a manual update, get a message:

"Warning, could not connect to the Internet!"

Not in my configuration. All your check-points OK, but
still couldn't connect to the Internet (through a proxy).

Is your proxy properly defined in the settings for Internet Explorer?
Microsoft Antispyware looks to the IE proxy settings for information about
proxies.
