Same thing has happened to me. Go into your internet
options/connections and click that automatically detect
connection setting. Then run the updater. And it should
work. After that you can uncheck that box again. You only
need it checked the first time you run that updater. It
seems if you change internet service providers you'll
have to do this again though, that's how it happened with
my comp...
