Update won't take

I manually update my microsoft antispyware, and everytime
I check for updates it says it's updating from 5731 to
57??. I has done this since update 5736 to the current
update of 5739 (this date 8-3-05). When it's through, I
get a confirmation that install was complete. But yet, I
can turn right around after even a reboot and check for
updates again and get the same update notice and install
all over again. Does anyone know anything about this?
Please help, my email is (e-mail address removed)

I have found else where a suggestion to clear temp IE
folder! I did this and the temp folder, both. This proved
fruitless even with a reboot.

Hello,

try this:

uninstall, Delete MSAS folder and
delete in C:\windows\system32 the following files:
GCCollection.dll
hashlib.dll
gcUnCompress.dll

run a regceaner (Ccleaner)

http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.asp

Also use the temp cleaner of Ccleaner.

Do a fresh install with version .615 (latest)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...A2-6A57-4C57-A8BD-DBF62EDA9671&displaylang=en

Working this way you know that you are really running .615 with all old
things not anymore on the system!!!

The old bugs are not away ;)
