Update Query String Syntax invalid

Hi,

Just a brief question - iam trying to run an update query and need the
update text string to be as follows

<a href="

if i set the update field to "<a href=""

it advises that the string format is invalid

Please could you advise if it is possible to update the text to a value that
has a text string that involves quotes
