Update Problem

WinXP Pro+SP3+IE7 installed. Belarc Advisor shows an error against KB
929969 and advises to reinstall. I have downloaded KB 929969 from MS but
when I run the file I receive a message "The version of windows installed
does not match the update you are trying to install"

Will someone explain what the problem is and how to overcome it? I have
'Googled' for an explanation and while this message seems not to be uncommon
there does not appear to be a simple explanation as to cause or a means to
rectify the problem, if indeed there is a problem.

Thanks in advance.

You have SP3 (so you have stated.)
SP3 includes 929969.

Therefore Belarc is giving you a false need - make sure you have the latest
version of Belarc and if you do - report the issue to Belarc.
