Update Error 8000FFFF

I just tried out my two brandnew pre-installed Windows Vista Home notebooks
for my two daughters, who are going to university. I updated one computer
without any problem. When I tried to do so on the other one I receivde the
message that updating is not possible. Error code 8000FFFF. Can anyone help
me to solve this problem.

You're asking in the wrong place. This newsgroup is for the database software
Microsoft Access, not for general computer questions.

You haven't explained what you're "updating" - but I'd suggest posting the
question in a Windows Vista newsgroup (watch out for the trolls, they're
abundant and nasty there), or contacting the vendor from whom you bought the
laptops.
