I have an older computer and i know my drivers are out of date, is there any
application i can download that will update my drivers for me? i came across
a couple before but i dont want to pay for anything. An Example of what im
talking about would be the "Driver Detective." Thank you in advance.

If they work, leave them alone. Believe me.

Like windows update, I would not trust any program to determine appropriate
drivers for my PC. The typical mistake by windows update is mistaking a
chip's use for another use.

There is no need to update drivers just for the sake of having the newest.
If things are working fine, then don't. Only update drivers if there is a
problem or if the new driver has some must have new feature.

Get new drivers from the device manufacturer's web site if it's a retail
device, the computer OEM's web site if it's a a large OEM such as Dell or
HP/Compaq, or from the motherboard manufacture's web site if it's an on
board device.

One additional note, never get drivers from Windows Update unless the device
is an MS manufactured device.
