Update Download Problem

I am suddenly unable to download any updates. I am not
aware of any changes made to prevent downloads. The error
code is: Send error number to Microsoft (0x800A138F). I
have gone through the self help, and tried those
possibilities, without any luck. Anyone have a clue as to
what happened?
 
Peggy, if it makes you feel any better; I will add that I also am experiencing the same problem and I have been receiving MS online support without any resolution. I thought I had done something to cause the problem. it must be the result of a prior update before the 10/15/03 updates were released.
When I do not install the updates I get slammed by worms like Blaster and when I do the updates things break. What a mess computers and the internet have become.
