Can't update Windows or IE

Tried to update Windows, got error message:
"Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot
display the requested page.
Send error number to Microsoft (0x800A138F)"

Tried to download latest IE security patch but no version
available for IE6/W2K.

Tried to download IE6 SP1, got error message:
"Setup was unable to download information about available
installation sites."

Not my night.
