Zensuke

I just re-installed Windows on my computer after
reformating my hard drive and went to microstoft.com to
get the updates but when I click on "scan for updates" it
gives this wierd error message:

Windows Update has encountered an error. This may be due
to a discrepancy in your computer's time setting.

To check your date and time setting:

On the taskbar, double-click the time.
Verify that the date and time is correct.

You can also get online support if you are having problems
with Windows Update.

Send error number to Microsoft (0x800C0008)

I checked my clock and stuff and it still dosent work.
please help me!

Windows Update reports that new updates are not available, although your
computer is not up to date (Error 0x800C0008)

When checking your date (including the year) and time, also check the Internet
Time. Double click on the date/time in the notification/system tray area, select
Internet Time Tab and then select update now. If it's not already checked, check
automatically synchronize with an Internet Time Server - WinXP. Also check your
Time Zone.
