(Update) AdAware

I wonder why people post updates for spyware definitions...

I just check for an update before I scan..

I think that is enough.. why download a definition without wanting to scan?
And if you are going to scan, will you not check for an update first?

Because it is a good reminder?

Because don't some of these programs do real time filtering?

Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.

Yes that is correct, if you use the payed version of adaware then it does
have real time

also spybot (free) has immunization that also is useful.

I appreciate the reminder. I usually do not read the message and,
even less often, the follow-ups. So it's either "Oh, I just updated
that" or "Yeah, I really should do an update."

You might just make a habit of visiting

and having a look which of your security apps need updating. Once you
have them updated, run the scans,

Visit yet another site? I might as well "make a habit of" updating my
security programs. My point is that, despite my best intentions, I,
like lots of human beings, need and appreciate occasional reminders.

I will keep your link handy, though, in case the reminders here dry
up. Thanks for your input. -- Paul
