downloaded this update, it says i must have IE 6.0
installed, thats what came with this computer ?? xp home.

This is MS' way of stating that you already have Q822925 installed, most
likely via Windows Update.

you could be right, but i looked in add/remove for it and
it wasn't there, thats why i thought i should install it.
as far as windows update, that hasn't worked in over a
year. was this patch part of a larger one, then maybe i
got it, i get most of the security patchs through tech
net.

In Add/Remove Programs, look for "Internet Explorer Q822925".

hi bear, looked again for 822925 or anything close, can't
find it there, got most of the other stuff sp1/iesp2 and
a few other ones. update, forget it, tryed about
everything, not gonna mess with the registry. but thanks
for your replies.
