Unwanted tags in FrontPage HTML code

When I make a web page in Frontpage, when one looks at the source code, there
are hundreds and hundreds of unwanted tags

</align="center">
</align="left">
</align="center">

I have attempted to get rid of them through find and replace with a blank
space but this

1. Causes lots of white space in the code
2. The Tags disappear on the Front page Html but when published to the
Server reappear in the source code.

The size of web pages is increased dramatically and unnecassarily.

Does anyone know how to stop these unwanted tags appearing in the first
place and/or getting rid of them when they appear.

To delete the tags, use Find and Replace. Set the Replace to an empty
string - delete the blank space you were using before. If you are using
FP2003, make sure there are no carriage returns in the replace field by
trying to place the cursor at the bottom of the field, and backspacing each
line till you get to the top.

FrontPage does not normally generate tags such as </align="center"> (which
is invalid). This looks like the result of a server side script that is not
working correctly.

It *might* help to look at the page - URL?
