unwanted system shutdown

While working on Windows XP and connected to the Net I
get an unwanted disconnection message givng me less then
a minute to save before shutdown saying RPC or Remote
Procedure Call has cause an error. Any idieas? Thanx

It's a virus. Probably the sasser worm or some variant there-of. 1st
download and install this Windows update

You may have to cut and paste this link for it to work.

It doesn't get rid of the infection but will stop it from crippling your
computer. Then run a full scan from an updated anti-virus program.
