Unwanted sound

Can someone tell me why I am getting a strange sound when I open IE and other
programs? It sounds like a horn or door opening...I ckd my sounds and there
is not one of this kind in my sounds area. I added a sound for opening
programs and then I get both sounds....so I deleted the selected sound and
now just get this annoying sound. thank you

Have you chekced to see if you have a virus or similar?
