Unwanted shutdowns

My system reboots itself after a few minutes of being on
the internet with some of the following symptoms: Single
window explaining that I have 59 seconds to close all
open applications until Windows will shut down, "System
shutdown initiated by NT Authority \ System", and "Remote
Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unxpectantly".
What could possibly cause this?

You have the Blaster worm or one of its variations. IMMEDIATELY do this:
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del, click Task Manager, click the Processes tab, sort the
first column by clicking on image name, and look for any of these items:
MSBLAST.EXE, PENIS32.EXE, or TEEKIDS.EXE. If any is found, click on it, then
click End Process.

This will temporarily turn off the virus.

Hi Uli,

To stop the reboots: Go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc. Scroll down
to Remote Procedure Call (RPC)/Recovery/First Failure/Restart the Service.

Close Windows Explorer, run the edit on line 257 which includes the prompt
for the patch once your system has been cleaned. This script removes all
variants of the W32.Blaster.Worm (original, b and c).
