Unwanted "My..."

How can I get rid of all five of those "My Documents", "My Pictures" etc
things on the Start pane ?

What do you mean by the "Start Pane"?

Right-click on the start Button, choose Properties. On the Start menu tab,
select Start Menu radio button (if not already selected) and click on the
Customize button. On the Advanced tab, you can select what appears.

Try the Classic menu.
Right-click a blank spot on the Taskbar, select Properties the Start
Menu tab
Select Classic Start Menu and OK.
