Unwanted lines in report (Office 2007)

I used one of the automated functions of MS Office Professional 2007 in
'layout' view to create totals(sum)on several of my report fields. It
placed dark vertical and horizontal separator lines in the vicinity of
the totals that it created. I would like to remove them but have been
unable to do so.
Suggestions please.

The way to remove such in all previous versions is to go into design view,
select the object you want to remove, and press the delete key. I'm not yet
using Access 2007, but see no reason that they would have changed this
feature.

If the SP 1 for Office 2007 isn't yet "shipping", it will not be long as it
has been in "beta test" for some time.

I just downloaded SP1 ... Thanks for letting me know about it.
I am still unable to delete the lines.
When I click on one of the lines in Design View, it seems to select the
footer bar.

I sometimes have to open up the section and point very carefully to
highlight wizard-generated lines, but so far, I have always been able to do
so. Sometimes you can click and drag down the bottom of the Section, then
select everything in the Section and drag the controls away from the edge.

I've tried moving, sizing, etc. trying to get the controls away from the
lines ... NO LUCK! The lines actually appear to be part of the
control(s) ?
All of the 'totals'(note, I am not saying 'controlS') that were wizard
created appear to remain somehow linked to each other. If you enlarge
one, they all get bigger? When I deleted one of totals in the middle of
about 8 totals; the lines around that one go away and the remaining
totals 'appear' to be separated. However, if I enlarge one of the
'apparently divided' set of totals; the ones on the other side will also
follow suit. I've tried both the layout view and the design view,
giving the me the same results.

Opinion: 'Apparently' the lines are part of what appears to be a single
control ... with lots of totals?

I would be interested in knowing/understanding more about this issue if
you find out more. My actual email address is (e-mail address removed)
(without the xxx).
Thanks for your help!

Bob,

Most likely you're seeing the Gridline properties of the text box itself.

Open the report in Design View, and go to the Property Sheet for a specific
text box that is showing the line. Look for the following four properties:
Gridline Style Top
Gridline Style Bottom
Gridline Style Left
Gridline Style Right

One of those is probably set to "Solid."
Change it to Transparent to remove the line.
