unwanted homepages and search engins

I have xp pro. I started getting all kinds of homepages that i keep deleting everyday but they still come back. Due to this i have downloaded spyhunter hoping that i will cure this only to be failed. I have deleted everything in Internet Options and have deleted unwanted programs in ad/remove programs, Also i have cleaned my disk through the system. I know that this can probably be a difficult removal so if any one has any suggestions or has came across this before i would be grateful. THANKS ALOT
