Unwanted edges around SmartArt

I just created this SmartArt, and like the rounded corners, but not the
lighter right-angles on the corners of the diagram. How can I get rid of
this? See the screenshot:

You've somehow gotten a visible line color applied to the drawing canvas behind
the art.

Right-click the edge of the canvas (visible as a double blue rectangle all the
way around the outside of the art) and click Format Object. Click the Line Color
tab on the left of the dialog, click the "No line" option, and close the dialog.
When you move the focus off the Smart Art, the corners should be gone.
