unwanted desktop cleaning help

L

Linea Recta

Once in a wile a message window of some 'desktop cleaning wizzard' (had to
translate) pops up stating that I have non-used icons. Is this some sort of
monitorring Windows service?
I could do well without it, specially because I don't want this sort of
"help" and disabling it might also help speeding up the computer...

Go to Start > Control Panel > Display > Desktop > Customise Desktop
Untick " Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days"

I see... that option seems hidden very well! (I had been searching in task
manager). Thanks very much!
