Unwanted capitalization at the beginning of each line

I would be grateful if someone could tell me
how to get Word to stop automatically capitalizing
the first word at the beginning of each line of
a letter I'm writing. Thanks.

Robin,

If Word is capitalizing as you say then it is likely you are not using Word
as intended for writing your letter. Tools>AutoCorrect>AutoCorrect
Tab>Capitalize first letter of sentences is the feature that cases this
behaviour.

The reason Word thinks each new line of your letter is a separate sentence
is you are probably hitting the enter key at the end of the previous line.
The Enter key starts a new paragraph. Paragraphs start with a new sentences
regardless of the presence or absence of your manually entered punctuation.

If my guess is correct may I suggest you look at the following web page for
some tips on using Word:

or you can type the letter again ie "Ppost" and then
delete the "P" that Word capitalized for you.
its annoying but works for me.
