Window XP Home eventually starts ok.
But the normal DOS and Windows screen that used to show the loading bar
scale doesn't appear and there is a blank screen with an error message that
pops up about 7 times before XP starts that says "unsupported mode" together
with a V (Value) and H (value).
What does this mean.
It all started when I replaced the on-board shared graphics card with a
Radeon 9250

Did you disable the on-board video in the bios? s

Also, this usually indicates that:

1) Monitor resolution is incorrectly set for the video card (Radeon.)

2) Older video card drivers or non ATi version. Microsoft included
Radeon video card drivers are extremely feature lamed. You need to
correct ones from ATi/AMD.
