Unspecified error occurs when importing pictures

When I try to import pictures (jpg) into my collection, I get a popup error
box saying it could not import the picture- an unspecified error has occured.
Could anyone help me out with this? Thanks.

Try converting the pictures to bitmap and try again.

no... i tried converting it to bitmap first, still doesn't work. thanks
though. i just think a movie maker program file is corrupt- this seem to be
an isolated problem only with my computer.

If you are suing SP2 and MM 2.1, try this page which has a link to Dean

i to have the same problem but seem to have all the required dll files up to
date can a new version be downloaded from the microsoft web site
