Unsigned Kernel Mode print drivers.

Hello all.

I believe there is a user or group policy to allow Unsigned Kernel Mode
print drives,

Can someone tell me where this policy is located?

Thanks

If you do an F8 boot you can select to be able to install an unsigned driver
on Vista 64.

Thanks for the feedback..

Unfortunately, no luck. Its these "Kernel Mode" print drivers that are
causing the problem.. This is from a network print server...

jereviscious,

If you don't get your answer, try google. It must be out there somewhere.
I don't know for sure, but Vista may lock you out of Kernel Mode for good.
Just a thought.

One of the biggest security changes implemented in Vista was that no kernal
mode drivers could be installed like they could in previous versions of
Windows such as Windows XP. If you are possibly trying to install some XP
drivers in XP compatibility mode then I am not surprised that they would not
be allowed.

The interesting thing is that I was able to install a kernel mode print
driver via a local installation, Its just that I'm not able to do the same
thing under a network installation..
