Unsent mail

F

Fred

This must be easy but I have spent ages trying to figure
it out. . . I sent an e-mail and mistyped the address. I
got a message saying "unsent mail". Each time I log on it
then ask if I want to send the unsent mail. If I
click "No" I get the same message every time I log on. If
I click "Yes" it tells me the message is "unsent mail". I
cannot tell it to delete the unsent mail which was
misaddressed. How can I tell it to delete the mail I
addressed wrongly? ARGHHHHH. Any help will incurr a
thousand "bless you's" from a frustrated novice to
Outlook. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Marlo . . . but it is in a dialogue box. When I
click on the send/receive button it comes up in the box
that says "receiving messages". In front of the unsent
mail is a large "X" saying it is unsent. I've tried
clicking on it and then using the delete key, or the
backspace key . . . all to no effect. It stays put. I'll
have a look around again and see if I can send it to a
folder or something and then try the delete it as you
suggest. Thanks

"I cannot tell it to delete the unsent mail which was
misaddressed"

Why not?
(1) Click on "Outbox".
(2) Click on the problematic message.
(3) Hit delete.

Marlo Brandon

go into your outbox, and see if you can delete or move the email from there
