Are you talking about an Access database (the topic of this newsgroup),
or have you maybe found your way in here looking for help on MS Word or
some other Office program? If it's a Word document you lost, was there
no prompt to save or discard your changes? Maybe there's an autosave
file, or whatever Word calls it, tucked away on your disk. You may get
better and more comprehensive answers in one of the Word newsgroups,
whose names all begin "microsoft.public.word".
