Unsafe removal of CD drives

I have my CD and CD-RW on the secondary IDE channel. I
will get messages stating that my CD drives were removed
unsafely. Would this be a flaky controller or something
else? Thanks - Joe
 
Try booting with just one of them. Then the other.
It may be a flaky drive. Also check the cables and make
sure they are fully seated.
