Gee thanks "TED". As I mentioned earlier,
troubleshooting (especially from the "help" menu) doesn't
seem to be getting me anywhere or I probably wouldn't be
spending my morning here! I have tried many options
including re-installing windows and windows updates. I
was wondering if there could have been an error in the XP
update that would cause an unchecked buffer in the
Windows shell to permit a system compromise. I do not
have Windows 95 or 98 installed to complicate. I read in
a troubleshooting guide that I could have a problem
because the size of the environmentally variable path is
greater than 512 charcters.......is this as silly as it
sounds?
