Unregmp2.exe error when Upgrading XP to XP Pro

Today I upgraded my XP system to XP Pro. I received the
following error
Unregmp2.exe Entry point no found
The procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be
located in the Dynamic Link Library MSDART.DLL.

This error occured during the "Installing Windows" phase,
while registering components. It said that there was 13
left before setup would be complete.

I had to click on OK about 200 times before it would
proceed. After completion the system came up and appeared
to work fine.

However, I can not connect into the internet. I use SBC
DSL. When I look at the network Connection I only see the
LAN Connection for ethernet. I attempted to make a new
network connection for DSL but the option is not
selectable (half-toned print).

Can anyone offer suggestions?
