Hi All

When running a Windows Repair with WinXP Pro Installation
CD and NOT using the Recovery Console option I get the
following error, "unregmp2.exe - Entry Point Not Found -
The procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in
the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL"

If any of you have seen this error message before please
can you tell me more about why it happens, or what the
problem is?

I have the solution to proceed with the repair by
clicking on "OK" about 50+ times until the message goes
away and the repair eventually finishes but I am keen to
know WHY this happens (it never happens when I run a
repair on other machines).

Thanks & Kind Regards
Iqraam

When the problem occurs, press Shift +F10 to bring up the
command prompt. Then type taskmgr.exe in the DOS window
and press Enter. The Task Manager should be started. If
not, try to press C+Shift+ESC. In the Task Manager
program, select the error messsage window in the
application list and click "End Task". In the process
list, terminate the unregmp2.exe program. Exit the DOS
prompt window and resume the installation process.

I've noticed that error when you're running the repair with a non-sp1 cd on
a computer that's been updated with SP1. Afterwards, if you try to run the
computer without first updating the SP, you'll get other odd errors.

It might be something else as well, but that's when I've found it. Doing the
updates clears the problems.
