Unrecognized database format

I built a database in Access 2007.
I published it to Sharepoint (apparantly successfully).
When I try to open it, it makes a local file (like it should, but when I try
to open that, I get an messagebox saying " Unrecognized Database Format ..."

Any clues out there?

Access.

I think maybe I sorted it out myself, though.
I was clicking on the icon for the database (in sharepoint) which opened
Access and the Download a copy dialog box. When I tried to open the
downloaded file, I got the error.

But then I discovered the "edit in microsoft access" dropdown menu item, and
that seemed to work just fine.
