Unrecognised Database Format

Hi everyone!

I hope someone can help me please.

I copied an ACCESS database onto a CD but when I try and
open it now - the following message comes up "Unrecognised
Database Format then my filename". So i can't access it
now. Unfortunately, it has been deleted from the computer
so this is the only copy that I have now.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

That can happen when you try to open an Access 2000 or
higher database with Access 97. I expect it can happen
with other version mismatches as well. If you can get
somebody with a higher level of Access than yours to open
the file, they can convert it to your version, but some
functionality may be lost.
