Unread Messages in Calendar folder! HELP!!

I'm using Outlook 2002 10.3513.3501 SP-1. I had added a recurring
meeting on our company calendar, but before I sent it out, I went to
Actions --> Copy to Personal Calendar. Then I sent it out, but it
didn't add the event on my personal calendar. Somehow the calendar
folder now shows a "(1)" and "Calendar" in Bold. I've searched through
the many threads regarding this issue, but the solutions do not work.
I have tried to Advance Find using "unread" as a criteria for the
search. It does not retrieve anything. I've tried going to Current
View --> By Category and it shows all but the unread message. Stats on
the bottom of the By Category window show "40 Items, 1 Unread". I
don't know what else to do. It's been frustrating me all day. Anyone
have a recommendation on how to remove this since the two main methods
everyone has been suggesting has not worked? Thank you in advanced.

Revisit the "By Category". However, this time reset the
"By Category" view first to its default settings.

Open Outlook
Select the Calendar folder
Select the VIEW menu
Select CURRENT VIEW
Select DEFINE VIEWS
Highlight "Day/Week/Month" view and Click the RESET button.
Highlight "Day/Week/Month With Autopreview" and again
Click the RESET button.
Continue with each view.

When you are done resetting each view, select the
"By Category" view and click APPLY VIEW

Now look for the BOLDED item that is unopened and open it.

I tried resetting the views using your steps. Unfortunately, it did
not show the unread items in "By Category" after it was reset and
applied. I'm not sure why it continues to hide the unread item.

You may want to repost this with all the information that you
have tried so far. I'm perplexed...

Can anybody help me with this issue? I cannot find the unread message.
it continues to say "44 Items, 1 Unread". I'm frustrated with this
issue. Seems so small but it mocks me :(
