unread mails

i have ms-exchange 2000 server and ms-outlook 2000 s
client program . one of my user complain that he read
mails and its stat is read but when he close outlook and
open again its came as unread ??? very strange that is
happened with this user only and i checked options on
outlook for preview pane and it's same as default ....
 
I have the same problem with one of my users. We've exhausted our resources
(reloaded Outlook, new PC, even recreated his account) and he is still
plagued with this problem.
