Unread item in Calendar?

I have Office 2003. Next to my Calendar icon on the left in Outlook,
there is a (1) shown in blue as if there is an unread email message in
the Calendar. (It is the same font and color as unread mail message
indicators in the Mail portion of Outlook.) What is this and how do I
access whatever is being counted? I've scrolled through the calendar,
but don't see anything.

switch to group by category view and you'll see it - it's probably a meeting
request. Or you can right click on the calendar and choose mark as read if
you don't care to see what is it.
