unprotecting without password!

Sounds like a real numpty thing to do, but an old associate put togethe
some details for me and protected the sheet, however the list o
passwords he gave me doesn't open this work sheet.

Me thinks that it being Microsoft, there 'must' be a back door o
someway of accessing data then re-setting new passwords...

Can anyone help!
