Unprotect my Spreadsheet

Truman

I wanted to set my spreadsheet up so that certain cells
were protected from change while other could have data
entered. I chose the cells that I wanted access to and
protected the others using Sheet Protect from the Tool
Menu. I used a password and confirmed it. Now I can't
unprotect my sheet to make changes. I am the only user of
the spreadsheet. How can I fix Please send answer to
(e-mail address removed)

For the cells you want to be able to edit, go into
Format|Cells|Protection and uncheck the 'Locked' box. Then
re-protect the sheet.

Cheers
PS: Remove NO.SPAM from the above before replying.

Please post to only one newsgroups, you must read your
answers in the newsgroup you post to. These newsgroups
are interactive not post a question and only you get the answers.

you posted to setup, worksheet.functions and misc from what
I can see. Fragmenting any responses that might have helped
others as well as yourself.

This is a waste of everybody's time
by having to answer a question already answered. It is even a
waste of your time because your answers won't come faster and
you make it harder for others to get their questions answered. The
answers you get are without regard to the other answers wasting
your own time, which you obviously consider worth a lot more
than ours.

After the last reply has been posted + 12 hours you can look for all of your
answers in the Google
archives by putting your email address into author field of the form on this page.
http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search?q=group:*Excel*&num=100

and you look at the "view thread".

It would be so much faster for you if you looked for answers first on
Google and if you can't find an answer post to *ONE* newsgroup.
I think the misc group would be the best, but same people in many
of the newsgroups anyway so rather than getting a more diverse audience
you piss off (irritate) the same people in each newsgroup.
