Unnecessary applications

I'm trying to figure out whether users need all Office applications. Is there
anyway to ascertain when the last time an application has been run? Other
than in the Add/remove programs (Last used on), which doesn't seem to be
accurate, is there any application that can do this? Thanks

I wouldn't bother with Add/Remove indications. As to the applications
themselves there isn't anything much to be saved by removing them. And
maintenance would be problematic.
